Where are flowmeters generally used

Selection of installation site:

 

· select a place where negative pressure will not appear in the measuring tube;

 

· avoid installation of accessories of motor, transformer and other strong electrical equipment to avoid electrical interference;

 

· avoid places with strong corrosive gas around the installation location;

 

· avoid sites that cause phase separation when measuring mixed phase fluids;

 

· the ambient temperature should generally be within the range of -25℃ ~ 60℃, and avoid direct sunlight as much as possible;

 

· installed in the case of no vibration or small vibration, if the vibration is too large, fixed support should be added on the pipeline before and after the sensor;

 

· environmental relative humidity should be within the range of 10% to 90%;

 

· avoid installation in places that can be directly drench or immersed by rainwater;

 

2. Requirements for the length of the straight pipe section :(D is the inner diameter of the flowmeter)

 

The requirements of the electromagnetic flowmeter on the front and rear straight pipe section are relatively low. Generally, for the 90° elbow, t-shaped tee, reducing pipe, full-open valve and other flow resistance parts, there should be 5D straight pipe section away from the center line of the electrode axis of the electromagnetic flowmeter (not the end face of the sensor).For valves with different openings (such as valves with adjustable openings), the length of the upstream straight section shall be 10D.Generally, the straight pipe segment downstream of the sensor only needs 3D to meet the requirements. When measuring the mixed liquid of different media, the distance between the mixing point and the flowmeter should be at least greater than 30D

 

3. Installation position and flow direction:

 

Electromagnetic flowmeters can be installed horizontally, vertically, and diagonally on pipelines:

 

When installed horizontally, the electrode axis of the electromagnetic flowmeter must be horizontal to prevent the electrode from being insulated for a short time due to bubbles in the fluid and to prevent the electrode from being covered by sediments in the fluid.Sensors should not be installed in the highest position to prevent accumulation of gas.

 

Vertical installation, should make the direction of flow upward, so that we can make no flow or flow is very small, the fluid in the midst of the heavier solid particles sinking, and light of limb fat kind leave electromagnetic flowmeter sensor electrode material rise, in the mud, the liquid-solid two-phase medium such as pulp, avoid solid precipitation and sensor uneven friction lining.As shown in the figure above.· the measuring pipe of the sensor must be filled with fluid and must have a certain back pressure.To prevent negative pressure (damage to lining), the electromagnetic flowmeter should not be installed at the inlet of the pump, but at the outlet of the pump;In the inclined installation, must be installed in the rising pipe;When installing open drain pipe, it must be installed in the lower part of the pipe.Control valve should be installed on the downstream side of the sensor and the cut-off valve, and should not be installed on the upper sensor in the measurement of flow meter installed in the well way (1, 2, 3 overflow pipe, a gateway 4, cleaning hole 5 meter. 6, short pipe outlet of 7, 8, 9, drain valve) 1, excitation cable can choose HZ medium cabtyre cable, its length and signal cable, signal cable, and other 2 power supply cable must be strictly separated, not in the same pipe laying, not parallel installation, not twisted together, should wear separately within the steel pipe.3. The signal cable and excitation cable should be as short as possible. The redundant cable should not be rolled together.

 

4. The connection between the excitation cable and the converter is completed by special wiring. The converter and the external connection are the same type of electromagnetic flowmeter.
