Principle of electromagnetic flowmeter

The principle of an electromagnetic flowmeter. Inside the electromagnetic flowmeter, there is a magnetic coil that creates a magnetic field and an electrode that captures the electromotive force (working voltage).Thus, although the total flow tube of the electromagnetic flowmeter will appear to be empty, the total flow can be measured.

Principle of electromagnetic flowmeter

According to Faraday's fundamental law of magnetic induction, moving conductive liquids in a magnetic field results in the nominal diameter of the tube, and the compressive strength of the magnetic field and the mean water flow are proportional to the electromotive force (working voltage).In other words, the flow of water moving in a magnetic field is converted into electrical engineering.

The safety channel of the electromagnetic flowmeter is a smooth pipe for checking the measuring parts in unimpeded flow, because it is not easy to block the solid-liquid two-phase hydrodynamics with solid particles or chemical fibers, such as paper paddle, coal slurry, coal slurry, drilling mud and waste water, etc.

It does not cause the working pressure damage caused by checking and measuring the total flow rate. The friction resistance of the instrument panel is only the pressure loss friction resistance of the same length of pipeline. It is effective in environmental protection and energy saving.

Principle of electromagnetic flowmeter

Basic principle of measurement:

The basic theory of electromagnetic flow meter - Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. When an electrical conductor through a magnetic field, can cause the induction electromotive force, the direction of the electromotive force associated with electrical conductor fitness movement and the orientation of the magnetic field. In the electromagnetic flowmeter, conducting medium in the measuring tube is equal to the electrical conductivity of Faraday experiment metal rod, the two sides of the magnet coil two stable magnetic field.

When there is a conductive medium through, it will cause magnetic induction operating voltage.Two electrodes inside the pipeline measure the resulting magnetically induced operating voltage.The measuring line maintains electromagnetic induction protection with hydrodynamics and measuring electrodes according to the non-conductive lining (vulcanized rubber, teflon, etc.).

The induced electromotive force is proportional to the water flow and is checked and measured by two measuring electrodes.Then the intelligent transmitter expands it and calculates the total volume flow according to the sectional area of the pipeline

U induction electromotive force;V= water flow;Q= total volume flow;B= compressive strength of magnetic field;L= pipe diameter

Induced electromotive force: U=BLV;Q = vA

Basic principles of measurement: the fundamental theory of electromagnetic flowmeters - Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction, which assumes that the electromagnetic induction coil causes the compressive strength of the magnetic field (B) to be stable, resulting in the magnetic induction operating voltage

(Ue) is proportional to the hydrodynamic rate (v), pipeline section (A) is known, and the total volume flow (Qv) can be calculated according to the following formula:

Ue = BLV

Q = vA

Electromagnetic flowmeter consists of flow sensor and intelligent transmitter.The left and right sides of the controller measurement tube are equipped with excitation regulator electromagnetic coils. After passing the excitation current, the magnetic field passes through the measurement tube. A pair of electrodes are installed in the measurement tube cavity and touch the liquid.

Electrical conductivity

The application of electromagnetic flowmeters is a priority.Because the electromagnetic flowmeter is based on the law of electromagnetic induction, the conductive liquid is the only liquid that can check the measured total flow.Whether a liquid is conductive depends on its conductivity.So, what is conductivity?

Conductivity is generally a value that expresses the flow of electricity very easily.The reverse is the resistance, which represents the level at which the current cannot be measured.For enterprises, key applications S/cm (Siemens PLC per centimeter).In order to clarify the electrical engineering commodity circulation method, 1 cm 2 electrode distance 1 cm.Use 100200 S/cm of drinking water, 500 S/cm of pure water and 0.1 S/cm of the following pure water as test products, can show the example of electrical conductivity evaluation.

To measure the conductivity, it is important to measure standards such as the total area of the electrode and the spacing between the electrodes.So it's very hard to measure.As a general way to determine the conductivity, a conductivity meter can be used to perform this measurement.
