Polyurethane Polyol and Isocyanate Gear Metering Pumps
We received a customer request today to purchase a complete gear metering pump system:
Each unit must include: gear metering pump, servo motor, servo drive, motor cable, encoder cable, coupling, and mounting bracket.
Fluid viscosity: Initially approximately 650–1200 mPa·s, polyurethane polyol and isocyanate.
Required operating speed: Approximately 10–100 rpm.
Please provide quotations for two complete systems, confirming chemical compatibility, seals/materials, accuracy, and recommended servo power.
I want to build a machine for injecting two-component resins and silicone.
Target total flow rate: Approximately 1.5–2.0 L/min.
We need to use different A:B mixing ratios depending on the resin, not just 100:70.
Therefore, the two metering pumps must be independently servo-controlled, and the A:B ratio must be adjusted by changing the speed of each pump.
Please select a pump size that maintains good accuracy over a wide flow range and with different mixing ratios. Typical ratios might include 100:100, 100:70, 100:50, 100:30, etc.
I ultimately need two pumps.

I want each pump to achieve a flow rate of approximately 2 liters/minute, as the A:B ratio may vary, and one component might require a significantly higher flow rate than another. However, maintaining good accuracy at lower flow rates is also important. Ideally, I want each pump to have an effective operating range of approximately 0.2 to 2.0 liters/minute. Please recommend the optimal displacement for this range.
If your recommended operating speed is around 10-100 rpm, I think approximately 20 cc/rev might be appropriate, but please confirm.
Regarding pressure, the material tank is typically at near atmospheric pressure after vacuum degassing.
However, on the pump outlet side, our application is closed-mold resin injection molding. The resin will enter the mold from a lower injection point and gradually rise to a tiny vent at the highest point of the mold, thus naturally creating some back pressure during filling. Under normal circumstances, we expect the discharge pressure to be approximately 1–3 bar. We require the pump to operate safely and continuously at a pressure of at least 5 bar, ideally with a maximum permissible pressure of around 8–10 bar to provide sufficient safety margin.
The normal material temperature is approximately 20–30°C, but we require it to be compatible with temperatures up to approximately 50°C for potential future tank heating and viscosity control applications.
Please recommend suitable pump size, inlet/outlet dimensions, motor power, and sealing materials based on these conditions.
Our technicians, after receiving the consultation, recommended our 15CC and 12CC gear metering pumps with servo motors.
